Children’s Dentistry for Aledo and Surrounding Areas

How often should your little one see a dentist? Just as often as you do! After all, children are just as vulnerable to the most common oral health problems as anyone else, if not more so.

If you’re looking for a practice that serves every member of your family, including the youngest, look no further than ARK Family Dentistry in Aledo. Our caring, compassionate team is always delighted to see young patients in addition to adults and seniors.

Creating Happy Memories at a Young Age

We’re very aware of the fact that a young patient’s first few visits with us will shape his or her view of going to the dentist for years to come. That’s why we strive to make every experience a great one. At every visit, we work hard to make your son or daughter feel like they’re visiting a home away from home rather than a dental practice.

Your Child’s First Visit

As with your own first visit, we use your child's inaugural cleaning and exam to start building trust with him or her. As part of this, Dr. Kovach introduces herself and complete a comprehensive exam. We take X-rays of your child’s mouth to get a better sense of how his or her teeth are developing. If we need to recommend any early orthodontic care, we would be happy to refer you to a skilled orthodontist who can offer the help your child needs.

At the end of your child’s visit, we may also recommend a preventive service like dental sealants or fluoride supplements. These solutions provide exceptional protection from harmful bacteria. Sealants use a thin plastic coating to protect the chewing surfaces of teeth from decay. Fluoride, on the other hand, attracts minerals that are essential for having strong enamel.
